High School Diploma
The Gmax College Bound program offers a high school
curriculum similar to those offered in American yeshiva
high schools (see Daily Schedule). Most classes are
offered on both a standard high school level and a
seperate advanced level.
All Gmax College Bound students take the GED in April or
May. The GED is a test offered by Education Direct and
the Center for Degree Studies. These institutes are
licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private
Licensed Schools. The GED is accredited by the U.S.
Department of Education as a nationally recognized high
school equivalency exam.
Students who pass this test are adequately accredited
for higher education by the Israeli Board of Education.
The Gmax College Bound program will prepare its students
for the GED Exam to be taken in April or May.
Preparations for this exam will take place primarily
during the second semester.
Psychometric Exam
The Psychometric Exam is the official Israeli college and university entrance exam. This exam, along with a full high School diploma, allows the student to apply to any Institute for higher education. The Gmax College Bound program prepares its students for the English version of the Psychometric Exam offered in July.
Hebrew Placement Test
The Hebrew Placement Test is an exam given by the universities to any student who did not pass/attend high school in Hebrew. The Gmax College Bound program will prepare its students for the Hebrew Placement Test to be taken prior to their entrance, assuring their complete absorption into Israel and its most recognized Colleges and Universities.
Limudei Kodesh/Jewish Studies
The Gmax College Bound program offers diverse, challenging and inspiring Limudei Kodesh classes. These classes include the following subjects: Tanach, Talmud, Mussar/Hashkafa, Teffilah and Parshat Shavua. Our Limudei Kodesh teachers also teach in some of the most prestigious Yeshivot in Israel.
